Easterseals Ramps Up COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics Across Southern California

Last week, ESSC’s Child Development Services (CDS) in San Diego hosted a COVID vaccination clinic at a local site. CVS Health representatives were on-hand to deliver 56 shots to associates, including nine associates from Adult Day Services.

Previously, Adult Day Services (ADS) staff welcomed participants, associates and caregivers to their COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at the Brea Senior Center on Feb. 18. At that clinic a total of 214 associates, individuals we support and care providers were vaccinated. The vaccines were once again supplied by CVS Health for ESSC to distribute.

To date, over 933 vaccinations have been administered to associates, participants and their caregivers through clinics hosted at several ESSC locations and more clinics are being planned!

Below are photos from the vaccination clinics and thoughts from associates about the importance of being vaccinated.

Infant and Toddler Education Manager Rutu D.: I am getting the vaccine because I want to protect myself and everyone I come into contact with from the potentially dangerous effects of contracting COVID-19. I want to do my part to contribute to a community-wide decrease in COVID-19 positivity and hospitalization rates. I also want to be part of our community, state and country’s efforts to recover from the tragic health and economic losses we have sustained throughout this pandemic.
